Meet Joanne
I have worked in the Financial Services sector for more than 20 years. I began my career at ADA Independent Financial Advisers in Southport, where I remained for nine years. I then took up a position at Griffiths & Armour Insurance Brokers in Liverpool, who were acquired by Charles Stanley in 2008. During my tenure there, I progressed from an administrative role to achieve a Diploma in Financial Planning. After gaining my qualifications, I worked as a paraplanner for 11 years, followed by stints at David Roberts and Partners and Plus Group.
I was approached by Angela to join Acumen in late 2016. I was incredibly impressed with how diligently clients were looked after and with the professionalism and friendliness of the team, that I leapt at the chance to join the firm. In my role as Financial Planning Executive at Acumen, I work closely with the financial advisers, conducting thorough research to recommend the most competitive products for our clients. My main areas of focus are predominantly pensions and investments.
I live in Southport with my husband Peter and our daughter Kate. In my spare time, I enjoy days out with the family, taking full advantage of our National Trust membership to visit stately homes, castles and natural wonders. I also enjoy eating out, going to the cinema and my role as ‘Mum’s Taxi’ ferrying Kate to swimming and all her other many activities!
