I have been working in the financial services industry for over 32 years, initially for an Insurance Company, then one of the UK’s largest Insurance Brokers and finally for a local Independent Financial Adviser. I gained huge experience and knowledge of the industry during this time and I currently hold the Financial Planning Certificate Parts 1 & 2.
I joined Acumen in 2010 and became part of a successful team. I thoroughly enjoy my job at Acumen because of how supportive and flexible it is as a team, both in and out of work. Originally, my role involved providing the advisers with a high-quality administration service pertaining to pension, investment and protection planning.
However, as my career developed at Acumen, I became a Business Support Manager. As well as continuing with my original duties, I now help train and develop new members of the Acumen team, manage the staff work-flow and oversee marketing campaigns. I identify any training needs for the support team to continue with our development. As well as liaising with other members of the team, I also assist the directors in performing appraisals for the support team.
In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, walking, reading and entertaining family and friends.
