Leaving school in 1989 at the age of 16, I started work for one of the main High Street banks, a career choice that proved ideal. I made my way up through a series of different roles, finding each more challenging and interesting than the last and after 15 years, in 2004, I was promoted to Financial Planning Manager working in the Liverpool and Chester area.
The responsibility for providing Private Banking Clients with the sort of detailed advice on their investments, business and family life assurance protection and of course, their retirement plans was something I found immensely satisfying. Developing the sort of personal relationships with those clients, making a difference to them and then working with them over the years has provided me with some very happy memories.
Acumen has a clear commitment to individual, personal attention and this recognises that no two clients are the same. Working with such a dedicated and supportive team means that I am able to offer the kind of service I have always aimed to provide.
I have lived in Formby for most of my life and it is now home to me, my wife Sue and our three children and not forgetting our cockapoo, Archie. Family life is very important to me but I do also like to find time to go on long beach walks with Archie and also going to watch my beloved Liverpool FC.
