Acumen Financial feature in the Champion Newspaper

Our Managing Director, Angela Maher BA DipPFS, spoke with the Champion Newspaper about Acumen International’s growth and the importance of family values in continuing the growing success of the business.

Throughout the article, Angela talks about the impact of the business on her son Daniel’s life and the role he is now playing having joined the firm in 2018 as an apprentice. Daniel also reminisces on his own memories of his mother’s business growing up and how during the lockdown he decided to upskill himself as much as possible to put him on course to becoming one of the youngest people ever to achieve a Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK.

Talking about Acumen Financial’s growth as a business and her son’s introduction as an apprentice, Angela told the Champion:

“We have a close knit team of advisers and support staff all with a range of different experiences. Daniel was a natural fit for a business which already had a real family feel and traditional values. I’m very proud of Acumen – we have an eye for talent and in 15 years we have trained a team who have come from all sorts of backgrounds, supporting them through their exams and developing their careers.”
